Response ships

Some model updates: they're coming along nicely now.

The Valiant, Lancer, and Tora class ships, are all on patrol and respond to any distress call in range.

The Valiant (top) is the most common ship found in NSL space. Designed to be easily produced and modified; it remains one of the most balanced ships produced by the NSL. Average voyage is 4 months, these ships are commonly on border patrol and long haul shipping escort missions.

Armaments are varied, and differ from ship to ship, however they all have a large AntiProton cannon, that takes up the front of the ship and is integrated into the main engine assembly.

These ships are often commissioned by mid level influence families and clans, to secure there holdings in space. As a favored private and government vessel the Valiant is almost ubiquitous in NSL space.

The lancer (middle) is odd for most NSL ships. Originally a frame built around an experimental antiproton cannon now found in almost all NSL ships, the Lancer was surprisingly successful in the field during the EA war. proven its worth more were made, however the design was lacking in armor and such lacks protection.

It does bring a heavy forward payload to a fight, and in a surprisingly nimble package. power durations and rage however limit the lancer to a completely support role. alone a lancer would almost always be out matched in battle with a comparable sized ship, together with a valiant or tora however and it could turn the tide.

The Tora (bottom) is the patrol boat found in solar systems tending to stations and short range transports. these ships have a menacing punch but can not sustain a prolonged engagement due to limited ammunition reserves. The Tora does have thick armor and have been know to act as shields to fleeing transports in a losing battle with raiders

Tora class ships are often commissioned by holdership planets and independent stations to augment there satilite defense.
