Hedrin, upon her acceptance walked even closer to Marla.  He had been a bit apprehensive, but this was purely a natural reaction.  She was much more than twice his size, and despite having spent a long time preparing for the experience, he found his heart faster than it should be.

Marla for her part had come off as a nice young woman.   Hedrin had done nothing but count his blessings when he realized how easy it would be to get a lift up the cliff from her.  He was a bit apprehensive about playing the first denizen of the plateau they met; however, she seemed the innocent, and they meant no harm to her.   He smiled to have such luck
